Find your next home in Zambia

Account details: your phone number (used to send sign-in codes) or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, your name, email address and profile photo.

Profile details you choose to add, such as your display name, role (individual or agent) and agency name.

Listings you publish: title, description, price, property type, location (city / neighbourhood), contact number and photos.

Activity in the app: favourites, saved searches, messages with landlords, buyers or agents, viewing/inspection bookings, and listing views or shares.

Payments: the payment reference, amount and status for featured listings or ads. We never receive your card number or mobile-money PIN.

Device and technical data: device type, app version, language, notification token, and basic logs (IP address, time of request) used for security and troubleshooting.

To create and secure your account and sign you in.

To publish your listings and show them to people looking for a home in Zambia.

To let you chat with other users and book property viewings.

To send alerts you ask for, such as new matches for a saved search, messages and weekly digests.

To process payments for featured listings and advertising.

To prevent fraud, fake listings and abuse, and to keep ZedHomes safe.

To understand how ZedHomes is used and to improve our features.

We do NOT sell your personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers operated by our hosting providers. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Access to personal data is limited to authorised ZedHomes staff who need it to run the service.

Sign-in sessions use secure tokens; you can sign out on any device at any time.

Listing photos are stored so they can be shown publicly on your listing. Deleting a listing removes its photos.

No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

With other users: your listing details, name and contact number are shown on listings you publish; your messages are visible to the people you chat with.

With service providers who help us run ZedHomes: hosting, sign-in (Google / Apple), SMS and WhatsApp code delivery, push notifications and payments (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Zamtel Kwacha, Stripe). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

When required by law, a court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We keep your account data while your account is active.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

View, edit or delete your profile, listings, favourites, saved searches and chats in the app.

Turn notifications on or off in the app settings or your device settings.

Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing us. We respond within 30 days, in line with the Zambia Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021.

ZedHomes is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, notify you in the app.
