How to delete your account and data
To delete your account and data, go to Settings > Delete Account in the app, or email support@zedhomes.zm to request deletion.
What we collect
Your phone number (for OTP) or Google email + name (if you sign in with Google). Listings you create, favourites you save, messages you send, and the ads you interact with. Basic device info for push notifications.
Why we collect it
So you can log in, list a property, chat with landlords/buyers, and so we can improve ZedHomes. We do NOT sell your data to advertisers.
Photos
Photos you attach to a listing or ad are stored on our servers so they can be shown to prospective renters/buyers. You can delete any listing to remove its photos at any time.
Location
If you enter a neighbourhood or city, that appears on your listing. We do not track your live device location.
Payments
Mobile-money and card payments are handled by MTN, Airtel, Zamtel and Stripe. We only store the payment reference and amount — never your card details or mobile-money PIN.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we send you a device token to Emergent's push service (proxied). You can turn notifications off in your phone's Settings app at any time.
Advertising
Ads on ZedHomes are targeted only by city and screen context. We do not build user profiles for advertisers.
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove your personal data within 30 days (some records may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention reasons).
Your rights
You can view, edit, or delete your listings, favourites and chats directly in the app. To close your account entirely, use Settings > Delete account inside the app, or email support@zedhomes.zm.
